How is STEAM helpful?
STEAM prepares children for the future by instilling a love for learning to shape an open-minded child. Research shows that children who participate in STEAM programs are more engaged in school and perform better with improved grades.
One of the leading sources for education research, The Arts Ed Partnership, reported that 900 Students who received just nine hours of STEAM instruction went from the 50th percentile to the 63rd in the district science assessment.
In a study reported by the Learning Policy Institute, a public school district in Connecticut, had three schools add 100 minutes per day of learning time to provide enrichment in three areas: healthy living, literacy, and STEM. Two of these schools saw gains in attendance rates, test scores, and teacher ratings, which exceeded districtwide averages.
